I had a great chance recently to meet my namesake... Arlo Guthrie! I just so happened to see that he was going to be in town (Portland, Oregon) and decided at the last minute to see if I could go... I stood in line and ended up buying a ticket from a scalper because I had no idea it would be sold out... had really good seats inside the Aladdin theater... about six rows from the front, and enjoyed myself immensely! My parents challenged me before I went to see if I could actually meet Arlo Guthrie... well, I not only got to meet him after the show, but I got a couple autographs as well and got to tell him that I was named after him! It was kind of a life long goal of mine to meet him somehow someday and I finally accomplished it! Next time he's in town I plan on going to his concert again!
